What Is CBD?
CBD is a compound known as a Phyto cannabinoid. There are more than 101 known Phyto cannabinoids in the Cannabis genus (species) of plant. Some, like THC, are known to make you feel stoned. Others, like CBD, allow you to get all the goodness of the plant, without getting high from the products – you simply take the cannabidiol.
Absolutely not- cannabidiol is not cannabis. The Cannabis plant and the Hemp plant are like cousins. They are related by their grouping in the evolutionary charts, but they are different types of the same plant species. Cannabis contains all the compounds, inclusive of THC and the unknown compounds that make us ‘stoned’. CBD and its oil doesn’t have any of this. It is part of the food supplements range, not a drug and non psychoactive and hence it can be sold in Ireland. We’ve written a blog on the matter of legality of the supplement.
Our high-end CBD products are supplied to Irish consumers for all sorts of reasons. CBD products are great for your skin, so some even use the oil and cream as a beauty product!
Of course! Given that its harsher cousin is now legal in parts of the world but not Ireland, CBD is the tamer, friendlier, more helpful version and is nothing to be feared. Our CBD products have been laboratory tested for the best in quality, strength, and purity. When you buy from us you have nothing to fear whatsoever.
If you want to try some cannabidiol in Ireland for yourself, don’t stray too far. You will find a full range of high-end produce on our online store for delivery in Ireland
Although hemp oil and cannabidiol are extracted from the hemp plant, their organic structure is very different. You can thus not substitute one for the other. The two, however, pack many potent properties that come in handy in promoting a person’s wellbeing. Cannabidiol, as the name suggests, is rich in cannabinoids, while hemp oil is just that, hemp oil (no cannabinoids).
CBD is only available in the flowers and bids of a female hemp plant. That said, hemp milk doesn’t contain any cannabinoids. This is because hemp milk is obtained from other parts of the hemp plant, aside from the bud and flowers..
CBD is a naturally occurring compound that is safe for all pets included. You can thus give CBD to your pets. Just a few drops of cannabidiol in the pet’s food is enough to serve the desired purpose.
CBD Myths
Capsules, edibles, or cannabidiol are best for those new to their CBD journey. If you are used to taking tablets, the capsules will feel similar. If you choose the oils, one or two drops under the tongue is enough to begin with. If you choose the Edibles? Try stopping at one a day to begin with… some of our CBD edibles are just so delicious it can be hard to only have one!
This is another negative answer. You absolutely will not get addicted to CBD products as they are non-addictive by nature. In fact, scientists are currently studying all the ways in which full spectrum cannabidiol can help you break free of addictions, by use as a supplement. Cannabidiol is so antiaddictive it is working hard in opposite ends of the scientific field. Hence we can sell it in Ireland.
This depends on your tolerance and your size and weight. If you are new to the CBD world then make it a small dose. one or two drops of cannabidiol placed under the tongue will be enough to start with, but you can build yourself up with products as you go.
Like any other supplement, CBD is most effective when taken to the right dose. Unlike other supplements, there aren’t strict guidelines. The more mass you carry, the more oil it will take to see the effects. Again, start on a small dose and work your way up.
There are so many factors at play here. It depends on how you take it, what size you are, and what the desired effect is.
A few drops under the tongue allows the oil to get into your blood stream because the cell walls of your mouth are thinner than they are elsewhere. Around the teeth, the CBD compound in the oil has the most chance of going straight to the bloodstream. When you swallow the oil it has to go through the digestive tract and some of the goodness is lost. Take it under the tongue for a more immediate result.
CBD Info
Hemp and cannabidiol do come from the same plant, but they come from different parts of it. The stalks of the Hemp plant might be used for cannabidiol or to be used to weave clothing, thanks to the tensile strength of the long fibres. Cannabidiol can also be taken from the flowers of the Hemp plant. However, Hemp oil is also known as Hemp Seed Oil because it only utilizes the seeds. Essentially, you could take both substances from the same plant.
This is another negative answer. You absolutely will not get addicted to CBD products as they are non-addictive by nature.
Bioavailability refers to how much of a medicine is retained for the body to use. It goes back to the same reason that we suggest sublingual use of oils. If the oil absorbs straight into the blood stream you get maximum availability. If it has to go through the digestive process, you lose some nutrients from the cannabidiol or CBD product.
Oils are second only to sprays. The spray action separates the oil into tinier particles, thereby allowing easier absorption through the mouth. Use it on your food, in your drinks, or as a breath spray.
Normally a CBD capsule has the least availability because it goes through digestion. You will routinely find that a CBD capsule has a higher dose of cannabidiol within it to accommodate this. It doesn’t make it any stronger to you – it is just trying to get the most into your system that it can. Our capsules are made from a patented gel formula that makes them more available than other brands. Just one of the many ways we are helping you explore the CBD world and full spectrum CBD products.
Now you are asking! Each drop of our 300mg cannabidiol contains around 1.5 mg of CBD. Our 10% CBD Oil formula leaves you with 5mg, and our 20% gives you 10 mg. Needless to say that the 40% gives you 20mg per single drop. Our high-end CBD spray is a little different, with 1.8 per 400mg and 5.5 per 1200 for CBD. Now you know more about our CBD oil why not try it.
CBD takes a while to build up in your system and do its job. Take full spectrum CBD for at least a fortnight, consistently, before you notice a change. If you have been taking it for a few weeks and still see no change, you probably aren’t taking enough. Up the dose, hang on in there, and give it time.
